How many chalets are on the property?
Our retreat features three luxury, off-grid, self-contained chalets: Chalet Rosegum, Chalet Bluegum, and our premium chalet, Chalet Grandis.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM. Check-out is by 11:00 AM.
Is there a minimum stay?
Yes, a 2-night minimum usually applies; 3 night minimum for long weekends; 4 night minimum for Christmas/New Year. Single-night stays may be possible if dates around your stay are booked. Contact us to check.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, free Wi-Fi is available in all chalets.
Can children or pets stay?
No. Our retreat is adults-only and not suitable for children, babies or dogs.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel 30 days or more before your arrival, you’ll receive a full refund minus a $50 admin fee, returned to your original payment method. For cancellations within 30 days of arrival, all monies paid will be forfeited.
Is smoking allowed?
No. Smoking is not permitted inside or on the decks.
How many people can stay in each chalet?
Each chalet accommodates 2 adults.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes! Voucher are available for purchase from our website – perfect for special occasions.
Are the chalets fully self-contained?
Yes. Each chalet includes a full kitchen, Weber BBQ, and everything you need to self-cater in comfort. Chalet Grandis has an oven.
Is there a hot tub or spa bath?
Each chalet features a luxurious outdoor 2 person outdoor bath overlooking the bush – perfect for soaking under the stars.
Do the chalets have air conditioning or heating?
Yes, each chalet has reverse-cycle air conditioning and a cozy wood fire for winter.
Do you provide food or breakfast?
Our chalets are self-catering. A complimentary breakfast hamper is provided with each stay.
Can I check in late at night?
Yes. We text you a key code, and the entrance lights turn on automatically when you arrive.
Can I request early check-in or late check-out?
Yes – let us know and we’ll accommodate where possible.
What can I do on the property?
Enjoy short walking trails (Kangaroo Walk & Bird Walk), take wildlife photos, or just relax in nature.
What is there to do nearby?
Visit the Blackwood River, swim or kayak at Sues Bridge or Canebrake Pool, or go mountain biking on the Secret Whicher trail. Busselton is only a 12 minute drive.
Are the chalets eco-friendly?
Yes. We’re 100% off the grid and use eco-conscious cleaning and toiletry products.
Are the chalets wheelchair accessible?
Not fully. There are three steps with handrails. Bathrooms in Chalet Bluegum and Chalet Rosegum include walk-in showers and raised toilets but no grab rails.
Are Tree Chalets LGBTQI+ friendly?
Absolutely. All couples and singles are warmly welcomed.
Are visitors allowed?
No. To ensure peace and privacy for all guests, we do not allow visitors to the property.

How far are the chalets from Busselton?
We’re just 15 km from Busselton, about a 12 minute drive.
How far is Margaret River?
Margaret River is a 45 minute drive from Tree Chalets.
What’s the closest winery and café?
Hippolakes Café is the nearest, open Thursday to Sunday. The closest winery is Whicher Ridge Wines, just 14 minutes away by car.
Do you offer single night stays?
Each chalet accommodates 2 adults.
Can children, babies or toddlers stay?
We are an adult retreat and therefore are not suitable for children, babies or toddlers.
Can we bring our dog?
As much as we love our four legged friends, our property is not suitable for visiting dogs.
How many adults can stay in each chalet?
Each chalet sleeps 2 adults.
Can both chalets be exclusively booked?
Absolutely. Please contact us to arrange.
What is the condition of the road to Tree Chalets?
Tree Chalets is just a 10 minute drive from Busselton on a sealed bitumen road.
Are there luggage storage facilities?
Yes. If you arrive on an early flight we can assist with storage of your luggage prior to checking in.
What are some activities on the property?
There are 2 short walk trails on the property: Kangaroo Walk and Bird Walk. Wildflower, bird and wildlife photography is also an attraction for guests.
What are some nearby activities?
Tree Chalets are a short 30 minute drive to the Blackwood River. Sues Bridge and Canebrake Pool have picnic areas and both are suitable to kayak, swim and bushwalk. The Secret Whicher mountain bike trail is a 15 minute drive.
What cooking facilities are there?
Both chalets have kitchens fully equipped with all of the cooking utensils you will need. Each chalet also has a weber BBQ.
Are the chalets wheelchair accessible?
The chalets are not wheelchair accessible. Each chalet has 3 steps onto the front and back decks. These steps have handrails. We provide a walk-in shower and raised toilet. There are no hand-rails in the bathroom. READ MORE
Can you provide more details about accessibility?
To improve our website experience for people with vision impairment we have added alt text to all of our images. Our image descriptions are subjective too as we want to share the feeling of the image as well of the content. READ MORE for information on the practical layout of the chalets.
What COVID cleaning procedures are in place?
All touch points are sprayed with an alcohol antibacterial spray including keys, light switches, all remotes, counter tops, chairs, bar stools, door and cupboard handles, taps, dispensers, salt/pepper shakers, all appliances, towel rails, toilet flush button and seat. Linen, towels and robes are hot laundered and hot-dried. Doors and windows are opened to air the chalet and then the air conditioner is run to refresh the air.
Are Tree Chalets LGBTQI+ Friendly?
Absolutely. We warmly welcome all couples and singles.
How can I give feedback?
We love getting feedback from our guests as it helps us to provide a wonderful experience. We have feedback forms and review cards in the chalets. Guests can also email us at info@treechalets.com.au
What is the latest time I can check in?
You can check in at anytime after 3.00pm. As we text you the pin code for the key lock box on the day of your arrival, you can arrive late at night and let yourself in. When you drive up to the chalet at night time a security light and deck light will automatically come on to light up the access way and key drop box.

Please rest assured if you book with us and travel restrictions are changed then you will have the option of a full refund or re-book to a later date or a voucher which is valid for 3 years.
